The Trrree in Furrrby's Back Yarrrd

Furrrby, my mean Himalayan cousin has this magnificent trrree grrrowing in herrr back yarrrd. Maybe that's why she's angrrry all the time, cuz she has no claws on herrr paws to climb it.

Well Luxor, arrre you rrready to go climbing with me? See the little bean at the bottom? She is my lady bean's best furrrend frrrom high school--now she is herrr sisterr-in-law. My lady bean took that picturrre to give the full effect of the enorrrmity of this oak tree's size.

I am amazed at the enormity of that tree - might as well start with the highest mountain, so to speak! I'm ready!

That is a giant tree! If I knew how to climb a tree, that's the one I would want to climb.

Wow what a big tree! We have big trees at our house but not that big. We are sorry about Furby having no claws on her feets. That would make us cranky too.

That is a huge tree. I feel sorry for Furby not being able to climb it. You and Lux have a great time climbing it.

We don't have any big trees like that in our yard. Theres lots of big trees acrossed the street but we don't go outside. Mom says we climb the walls but we don't thinks that's the same.

Oh my goodness, that tree is beautiful -- and huge! I would love to climb it, too.

Furby is such a gorgeous, sweet-looking kitty -- thanks for introducing her to us! *smile*

Oh, Jade! What a large tree! You asked about my claws... Like your cousin, my front claws are gone. GONE! I was a rambunctious kitten and drew blood from the woman one too many times. She says if she had to choose again, she wouldn't do that to me, but I don't trust her.

If I had claws, I'd love to try that tree. The branches look wonderful for lying on and dangling paws.

Whew! That's bigger than any tree near my house, for sure. Someday I might visit my Grandpa and Grandma in New Yuck and see trees that big in their yard. Maybe it's good Furby doesn't have any claws 'cuz it doesn't look easy to get out of if she climbed it. I hope you and Lux have a great time climbing it and getting down again.

Thank you for the compliments you left in my comments. I got my name because when I was really little I was almost all white with these little dark stripes. My Daddy said I looked a lot like an albino tiger. He and my Mom liked that as my name but Mom wanted something to soften it a little since I was so cute (hehe). She likes lilies very much so she called me Tiger Lily and I came running to her! So the name stuck and I'm glad.

I like your name too. It fits you very well, from what I've seen and read on your blog.

Yo Jaders, great to hear that Daisy has a fellow Cats supporter in the AFL finals! You asked me about the weather in Australia at the moment... well, spring has definitely sprung in my part of the world; it's beautiful! Tasmania is way down at the bottom of Australia, so it's one of the coldest parts (but it only snows in the highlands in winter, not everywhere). These days, we're having very mild weather for this time of the year, with top temperatures of 16-19 degrees (celsuis, you'll have to do the conversion). Melbourne has very similar weather to here, but you can usually add around 5-10 degrees more to Sydney's temperatures compared to ours. Spring is a fully time in south-eastern Australia (Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide), you can get some beautiful weather, but also lots of windy, rainy weather (although most of Australia is in drought at the moment). The stable warm/hot weather doesn't really come until after Christmas, continuing until March or even April. Let me know if your beans' friends are coming to Tasmania, and I can recommend some tourist destinations!
